My music is like a tree rooted in Iranian tradition, with branches reaching into classical, jazz, and beyond. I picked up my first instrument, the Tombak, when I was five. Back then, I was simply imitating my father and participating in school activities, unaware that I was stepping onto a path that would become a lifelong journey.
My musical identity has been shaped by a diverse journey: growing up immersed in Iranian music, falling in love with popular music genres as a teenager, and later studying Western classical music at conservatory and university. These influences are woven into my sound, yet when I create, I try to set aside expectations—to simply trust what I feel and hear. Each piece becomes a surprise, even to me.
I write music to discover more about who I am; I play to listen more deeply to my own voice. My hope is that, through my music, I can mirror my true self and offer others a mirror to explore their own.
